Ange Yang (she/her)
Ange Seen Yang is a Perth/ Boorloo (Western Australia) based writer, lawyer, and soup noodle fanatic.
Her essays and creative non-fiction have featured in SBS, WA Good Food Guide, Broadsheet, Westerly and Gourmet Traveller.
She’s shared the joys, laughter and chaos that comes with navigating the corporate world as an Asian-Australian through performances at Blue Room Theatre, Barefaced Stories and Centre for Stories.
In her corporate life, she’s MC’d, organised and featured as a panellist at various corporate events… all alongside her day job (y’know, the one that pays the bills).
As a proud Malaysian-Australian, she is interested in how food connects individuals to their heritage, shapes people's identities and fosters a sense of community and belonging.
She’s open to national and international collaborations that advocate for greater representation in the arts and corporate industries.
Ange recommends 1 tsp vegemite to 1 bowl of congee.
